Letter from Shirley Bookey, Neil's Mother - February 2007

Just a little update to let all of you know that Neil will be free on May 24th. We are all counting the days.

Many of you have asked me if, after all this, if Neil was going to skate again. Well, you can bet your bottom dollar that he is. He was born to be on wheels. The night I had him, we were watching girls roller derby. That must have been a sign as to what his future was to hold because he has been on a skateboard since he was nine years old.

We all want to thank you again for your support over the past four years. You have been instrumental in our lives and our vision of Neil; without all of you, we would not have made it.

So, in a few months, if you see someone with tattoos and scars, it will most definitely be Neil Heddings that you see.
